Carpool to Moira's Rose's Garden 4856 after dinner! There are literally no complaints about this series as I go into season three. I honestly couldn't wait to see what shenanigans the Roses were going to get into next. Season three finds the Roses still in Schitt's Creek, but they are now fully into the everyday lives of the town and its people. Johnny still struggles to accept they are no closer to getting out of there. He keeps heading into dead-ends with every business idea he comes up with. It is by fate that Johnny finds the perfect passion project when he least expects it. Moira is now a member of the town council and adjusting to the responsibility that comes with it. She quickly learns that a lot of her ideas don't translate well in a small town like Schitt's Creek. David has a new love interest and is thrilled... until he finds out how involved others are in his new relationship. This pushes him to get out more by trying new things, like opening up his own business! Alexis is now thinking about her future. However, before she can dream for too long, she'll have to complete something she's never done before – Alexis has to graduate high school and live to tell the tale. It's quickly becoming a reality that the Roses are now officially Schitt's Creek citizens to their (somewhat subtle) dismay. Sometimes it does astound me when TV shows as good as this one exists. It's truly the best that a Moira rosé can get since it seems to get better with age. I've already waxed poetic about how much I loved the cast (and I still really do)! We can now talk about how great this season brought the best... or worst in each character. Just as we left off in season two, the Roses did not leave Schitt's Creek. Actually, it's beginning to look like they are not even close to departing any farewells any time soon. So, the Roses have no choice but to integrate themselves among the town's cast of quirky characters. This season proved even further from the last one that the Roses are resilient. Or at least trying to be... As a result of not getting out of there by yesterday, they have no choice but to finally accept they are Schitt's Creekians. (Schittonians? Schitt's Creeksters?) They now have to look for avenues to fulfill their everyday lives besides complaining. Don't get me wrong, they still complain, but they do other things now too. It's all a treat and then some for me to watch! I know I said I wouldn't talk about the cast, and I'll hold to that. But I can't escape this review without bringing up the characters themselves. I believe the best aspect of this season is the Roses have finally decided to make something out of nothing. The growth they have in this season almost outshines everything I've seen so far from them. Like the David and Alexis we first met would never have dreamed about opening a business or going back to school. In fact, they would've mocked you for even suggesting it. Yet, here we are in season three, with both of them doing so without hesitation. Not only that but Johnny and Moira themselves have found passion projects as well. It's beginning to look a lot like they're coming around to the idea that Schitt's Creek is their home. For now, at least. It's so hard for me not to binge this show all in one sitting. I know it'll be over before I know it since I'm already halfway through. I'm excited I have more left to see of the Roses, but I have to savor it before I go too crazy. However, I'm already counting down the episodes before I can just restart it all over. I literally wish I was kidding, but I already want to rewatch this. That's how much I love this show. The Roses are now all-in with Schitt's Creek. They would never admit it, but it seems like they are anyway. With everything from Johnny co-owning the motel to David's new business, I'm even more curious about what's to come for the Roses. Even if... there's a possibility they may stay? I guess I'll have to wait to find out.
Anyone want anything from Rose Apothecary?
