Danger, Will Robinson. We're back in space with the Robinsons, a criminal, a guy with his space chicken, and I am so excited. Lost in Space season 2 picks up roughly seven months where we left off. The Robinsons find themselves stranded once again... This time without the Robot. They now have to work with the now-discovered criminal Dr. Smith and Don West with Debbie, his lucky space chicken, to reunite with the Resolute and the other space colonizers. But of course, nothing is ever easy for the Robinsons. Danger seems to follow their every move. New discoveries like other inhabitable planets and new problems are added to their journey before they can finally reach their home, Alpha Centauri. I really had to hold myself back to just binge this straight after season 1. It didn't exactly go to plan, but the fact I even waited is a miracle. I wish I was exaggerating because my friends can confirm I'm more of the binging type. Anyway, back to space. I didn't think it was possible for me to love this show even more, but this season confirmed my obsession. The Robinsons are back and still incredibly dysfunctional as ever. The biggest difference? This season starts them off stranded living on a different, beach-like planet and no lovable Robot. Let's just say, they still had problems, and I lived for it. I couldn't pick which part of this season I loved the most. If you really had to force me to pick one (1) thing, I think it would be that nothing ever seems to go right. It doesn't seem to matter if it's space-related or human-related problems. If it's not Dr. Smith with her manipulation and lies, it's poisonous algae. (Yes. Algae. In space.) If it's not weird space colonizer politics, it's water that somehow can burn through metal. (Guess what spaceships are made out of?) With the amazing performances of the cast, these obstacles don't ever feel overwhelming. It does the opposite - it helps you cross your fingers and pray that somehow the Robinsons keep getting out of this mess alive and intact. This season was definitely an improvement. I believe now that there was a foundation to work with, the creators and writers felt more grounded. I had no complaints about this season...
Okay, maybe one complaint. When is season 3 going to be here?!
