Hello and welcome lovers of pop culture (and those who found me by accident)! This blog was started as a fun venture because those closest to me loved my reviews and commentary on the things I sent them over social media or text messages. I like reviewing a wide range of things so I figured I'd set some ground rules.
I'm an avid reader, but also am attached to the hip of my streaming accounts. Try to imagine if Leslie Knope was just as obsessed with pop culture as her local government position, then you have me! Take that as you will if that's a good thing or a bad thing for you.
I am not even close to being on the professional level of the Roger Eberts of the world, but I will review most of what's requested from me.
In terms of technicalities and such, I like exploring the YA section for the latest on books, but am open to most movies and TV shows of any genre. The only exception I have to make is I'll try to avoid horror/gore but will make the exceptions for thrillers and true crime.
If you want me to review something, any and all reviews that I do are my own opinions. While I'm not saying I'll go all Dracarys on a book/movie/TV show completely, but if I don't vibe well with the review request - I will definitely let you know.
My reviews are spoiler free-ish. This means that I'll try very hard to keep the reviews spoiler free as much as possible, but I can't guarantee that something may be revealed. Read at your own risk!
I do a have a life (super lame, I know) so I'll try to get to requests as quickly as I can. No guarantees on a deadline unless I decide to make one for myself.
For most things I will review I will end up linking them on where to watch or where to buy. This in no way means I am affliated with any brands linkednor am I getting paid to review something. If my post somehow moves you to buy/read/watch, then please do so and I would love to hear your thoughts!
As of right now, I won't post a review for something I don't finish. This applies to every single medium I review on this site. I don't think it's fair to give my thoughts on something that I haven't seen through to the end - basically picture you're Frodo and I'm your Samwise in this whole situation. We're riding this all the way to Mordor, baby.
Basically all this is to say, you can contact me to give your requests (or if you're my friends, you'll text me anyway) and we can bond over the best part of what pop culture has to offer.
